Every teammate gets a budget and a receipt

Virtual Vergil is a project manager in a box: an AI coordinator that runs hybrid teams through the tools those teams already use: Asana for tasks, GitHub for code, Slack and WhatsApp for conversation. No new platform to adopt; Vergil meets the team where it works.

Every teammate, human or artificial, gets a budget, a role, and responsibilities. Vergil maintains one auditable source of truth, and a deterministic bridge writes a receipt for every meaningful change, from decisions to blockers to milestones, so the project's history is a record, not a recollection.

Authority stays with people. Vergil operates inside an explicit autonomy ladder: agents may build and propose, but acceptance, spending, and anything binding stays with a named human. For sensitive work in healthcare, finance, or government, execution can be routed through on-premises compute, and Vergil holds the line on which model handles which task, cutting AI spend by never using an expensive model where a cheap one is correct.
