Team

Spartina AI turns complexity into something a person can act on.

Today that is one person and one system. Josh Miles does the client work. Virtual Vergil, an AI coordinator rather than a colleague, runs the projects. Three roles are open, listed further down this page.

The experience behind the work is Josh's: 15 years helping businesses in recruiting, hospitality, fintech, and other complicated corners of the world where good data is hard to find and harder to use, from venture-backed startups to enterprise healthcare organizations, on the agency side and the client side both.

One piece of history, since the client list runs older than the name: Spartina AI was MyCom Media, a digital marketing agency, until the 2026 rebrand. The Subway, AMN Healthcare, Sambazon, and HeroX work was done under that name.

People

Founder

Josh Miles

Josh came to this work from years of sailing and racing in events around the world, a sport that teaches you to trust your instruments, verify your position, and own the call you make. Those habits run through everything Spartina AI builds: accountability, integrity, and showing your work.

He has spent his career helping businesses communicate: first running a digital agency, now building AI systems that read public data and turn it into decisions people can defend. Most new clients arrive by referral, which is the standard the work has to keep earning.

AI Lead · a system, not a person

Virtual Vergil

Vergil is Spartina AI's project manager in a box: an AI coordinator that keeps hybrid human-and-agent teams on track through Asana, GitHub, and chat, with an auditable receipt for every meaningful change.

He is listed on this page because he genuinely does the job, including managing the build of this website, and because we think you should always know when you're working with a machine.

Careers

Three roles are open at once, and each is filled only when the right person turns up. Every role works directly with the founder and ships real systems for real clients.

Each link opens the contact form with that role already selected. It routes directly to the founder.
